Columbus Educational Evaluations

At Columbus Educational Evaluations, we help children and adolescents reach their full potential by using a whole-child approach to identifying challenges to learning, such as learning disabilities (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia); ADHD, social emotional concerns, and executive dysfunction. Each evaluation is custom tailored to identify strengths and weaknesses within your child’s learning profile, which is then used to create unique recommendations to support your child’s needs.

Our Services

Each evaluation is uniquely tailored to your child’s specific needs and will help to identify both their strengths and weaknesses. This can include testing in the areas of general intelligence, academic skills, executive functioning, behavior, and social emotional skills. Results of this testing may lead to an identification of a learning disability (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia), ADHD, Autism,  Intellectual Disability, or other social-emotional concerns. Customized recommendations are then provided and shared with you and your child’s school team.

Columbus Educational Evaluations’ Four Step Process

Evaluations typically include testing in the areas of general intelligence, academic skills, and behavioral/ social emotional functioning. Your child will work one on one with the school psychologist over two or three 1.5 hour sessions. We encourage you to bring a water bottle and light snack for your child.

Results of the evaluation are then compiled into an educational report. You will meet with the school psychologist to review results and recommendations for your child.

Should you choose, the school psychologist will meet with you and your child’s school team to discuss the results of the evaluation and share recommendations.

We will work with you and your child’s school team to create a plan to meet the needs identified in your child’s evaluation.
